Optimization and Analysis of Drilling and Blasting Parameters Using O-Pitblast Software
The development of modern technologies has enabled the application of specialized softwares in the field of mining through various segments and processes, including in works related to drilling and blasting. The application of specialized software for drilling and blasting with the use of modern technologies such as photogrammetry enabled more accurate data from the field for later processing. By processing data and creating a 3D model of the terrain for drilling and blasting works, it can obtain precise data, ...Stefan Milanović, Nikola Simić, Lazar Kričak, Milanka Negovanović, Nikola Đokić. An Approach to Management Decision Support: The Coal Mine Pljevlja Management Information System
In this paper we describe the approach that has been used in the development of the Management Information System (MIS) in the Coal Mine Pljevlja in Montenegro. The methodology of this approach was based on new information technologies and management techniques which have already been successfully applied in other related fields. Its main goal was to introduce modern management techniques to mining, adapted to specific features of the mining industry, its operations and environment, thus enabling the tactical management ...... methodology has already been applied in the development of the first phase of the Coal Mine Pljevlja MIS aimed at monitoring and management of transportation costs, in the summer of 2005. Testing the energy value of different types of coal by the method of active thermography
In this paper, coal thermograms are presented and analyzed in order to determine their energy value. Two types of coal of different categories, brown and lignite, were selected for active thermographic imaging. The tested coal samples were processed before measurement so that they are similar in dimensions and have two plane-parallel smooth surfaces. The test samples were "primarily" heated under the same conditions and the process of their cooling was monitored by a thermal camera. "Then" they were cooled ...Stevan Đenadić, Ljubiša Tomić, Vesna Damnjanović, Predrag Jovančić, Dragutin Jovković. Improving efficiency of thermal power plants through mine coal quality planning and control
Mesozoic carbonate rocks in Serbia used as dimension stone
Vesna Matović, Tijana Vojnović Ćalić (2016)The building industry in Serbia uses, to a great extent, imported natural stone for architectural purposes. The significance of local deposits, particularly limestones, is not adequately perceived despite the country’s abundance of these valuable resources. Therefore, this study focuses on Serbia’s Mesozoic carbonate rocks, specifically on the deposits of four selected quarries: Klisura, Skrzut, Struganik, and Tisnica. The quality and prospects of the application of these limestones has not yet been the subject of a detailed, comprehensive investigation. Therefore, ...... investigation of quality in terms of the possibility of use has not yet been conducted. Mine ventilation system planning using genetic algorithms
The most common problem in contemporary mining practice related to the planning and analysis of ventilation systems is the optimization of partially regulated air distribution in mine ventilation networks.
