Palaeoflora of Kamenica (Pranjani Basin, western Serbia)
Palaeofloras of the Paleogene in Serbia are relatively rare, especially in comparison with floras from Neogene sediments. Most Paleogene phytoas sociations from the territory of Serbia existed in a dry and warm climate. The youngest Paleogene phytoassociation originates from the Pranjani Basin (Western Serbia), locality Kamenica. The age of this palaeoflora is determined as Late Oligocene. This fossil plant assemblage is different from other Paleo gene phytoassociations. The palaeoflora from Kamenica is characterized with leaf imprints larger than in other ...... basin (the village of Kamenica) and it consists of well cemented conglomerates and breccias lying directly over the peridotite-serpentine rock. above them is a sequence of alternating sandstones, con- glomerates and marlstones. Well preserved remains of fossil plants and fish have been found in these sediments ...

Micro- to nanoscale textures of gold in arsenopyrite and scorodite from the As-Au-Bi assemblage of Drenjak locality (Serbia)
Ivana Jelić, Janez Zavašnik, Marina Lazarov, Alena Zdravković, Sabina Kovač, Jovica Stojanović, Aleksandar Pačevski (2023)Arsenopyrite and pyrite are important carriers of Au that is present in the form of microscopic and “invisible” gold. Such gold can be expected to be released upon the process of oxidation of these sulfides. In studied gold mineralization at Drenjak, related to the granitoids of the Oligocene-Miocene Kopaonik Ore District, the main arsenopyrite-pyrite-(bismuthinite) sulfide assemblage was formed in the quartz bodies and partly replaced by scorodite (FeAsO4·2H2O) and Bi-arsenate. The shear strength evaluation of rough and infilled joints and its indications for stability of rock cutting in schist rock mass
Construction of E75 highway section through Grdelica gorge was one of the most demanding projects realized in recent Serbian history. The alignment approximately 25 km long consists of several tens of bridges, two tunnels, three galleries and cuts with total length of 6 km. Transboundary groundwater resources of Serbia - present status and future needs for sustainable management
Republic of Serbia is located at the crossroads of Southeast and Central Europe and belongs to the Central Balkans. With its 88,360 km2, Serbia is one of the larger countries of the Balkan Peninsula. It borders 8 countries and has at least one transboundary aquifer (TBA) with each of them. Vesna Ristić Vakanjac, Veljko Marinović, Nikola Milovanović, Marina Čokorilo Ilić, Boris Vakanjac, Jugoslav Nikolić, Saša Bakrač (2022)We are witnessing climate change that is happening both, globally and, at the regionally - or local level. As a result of expected climate change in Southeast Europe, in the first place are the distributions of precipitation within the year (frequent extreme events are present) and then the increase in temperature, which already has a significant impact on evapotranspiration and runoff formed in a particular catchment area. A WordNet Ontology in Improving Searches of Digital Dialect Dictionary
In this paper, we present a method for automatic generation of a digital resource, which connects all indirect synonyms of a dialect term to all indirect synonyms of a corresponding term in the standard language, aiming to improve the search of a digital dialect dictionary. The method uses SWRL rules defined in the Serbian WordNet ontology to identify sets of synonymous words. It also uses e-dictionaries to produce correct lemmas in standard language that users usually employ in searches. ...... standard language that users usually use for search. Development and Application of Methodology for Quantification of Overbreaks in Hard Rock Tunnel Construction
A methodology for determining overbreaks in hard rock tunnel construction using the drill-and-blast technique is presented in this paper. The methodology was developed for and applied to crystalline medium- to thick-bedded limestone, but it can be used in any jointed hard rock mass. Overbreaks are inevitable in hard rock tunnelling in a low-confinement environment (shallow tunnels up to several hundred meters deep) as a result of wedge failures along unfavourably oriented discontinuities caused by blasting.
