Identification of the Best Available Renewable Energy Source for Electricity Production in Serbia
Around 2/3 of electricity production in Serbia originates from coal-fired thermal power plants. The most significant domestic coal deposits are lignite deposits, a type of low -quality coal that causes negative health, climate and environmental impacts during the combustion. To reduce those negative impacts on domestic electricity production and to promote environmental awareness, the Serbian Energy Sector Development Strategy and the National Action Plan for Use of Renewable Energy Sources indicate the plan for increasing the share of ...Strategija obnovljive energije, Održiva energija, Proizvodnja električne energije, Solarna energija, Biomasa, Hidroenergije, Energija vetra... ound 2/3 of electricity production in Serbia originates from coal-fired thermal power plants. Fluid inclusion study in quartz of the Rudnik Pb-Zn-Cu-Ag skarn deposit, Serbia
Six types of fluid inclusions were identified in three growth zones of hydrothermal quartz from the Rudnik skarn deposit. In the core zone, primary two-phase fluid inclusions of high (type 1) and moderate salinity (type 2) homogenized to liquid between 350-430 °C and 340-420 °C, respectively. Raman analysis revealed that the vapour phases are a CO2-CH4 gas mixture, with a predominance of CO2. The core contains and dispersed vapour-rich fluid inclusions of low salinity (type 3) composed of CO2-CH4-H2S ...Stefan Petrović, Ronald J. Bakker, Vladica Cvetković, Rade Jelenković. Dating of alluvial sediments from borehole at the lower course of the Sava river and indications of the connection between their genesis and climate changes in the Pleistocene
David Mitrinović, Jelena Zarić, Oliver Anđelković, Gyorgy Sipos, Dušan Polomčić, Milan Dimkić (2019)This paper analyses the way in which Pleistocene climate change and glaciations in Dinaric Mountains was reflected in the deposition of alluvial sediments in the Sava river Valley, using a case study of Belgrade Groundwater Source (BGS), the largest and most downstream alluvial water supply source along the Sava river. A stratigraphic analysis of the Quaternary sediments from two boreholes on this site, based on sediment dating, lithological members identification, grain size distribution analysis was performed.
