    Asbestos-containing pottery shards collected in the northeast of Corsica (Cap Corse) and dating from the 19th century, or earlier, have been analyzed by SEM-EDS, XRPD, FTIR and Raman microspectroscopy. Blue (crocidolite) and white (chrysotile) asbestos fiber bundles are observed in cross-sections. Most of the asbestos is partly or totally dehydroxylated, and some transformation to forsterite is observed to occur, indicative of a firing above 800 C.     U radu je razmatrano prečišćavanje otpadnih flotacijskih voda sa područja rudnika Rudnik prirodnim zeolitskim tufom sa planine Jastrebac. Prečišćavanje otpadnih flotacijskih voda sa područja rudnika Rudnik prirodnim zeoliskim tufom sa obronaka planine Jastrebac pokazala se veoma efikasnom. Naime, u tri otpadne flotacijske vode utvrđen je povišen sadržaj arsena, hroma, gvožđa, mangana, kao i nikla. Jednostavnim tretmanom zeolitskim tufom iz ovih voda uklonjeni su svi ovi elementi.     We present a necessary and sufficient condition for a root greater than unity of a monic reciprocal polynomial of an even degree at least four, with integer coefficients, to be a Salem number. This condition requires that the minimal polynomial of some power of the algebraic integer has a linear coefficient that is relatively large. We also determine the probability that an arbitrary power of a Salem number, of certain small degrees, satisfies this condition.
