An update on the mineral-like Sr-containing transition metal arsenates
Tamara Đorđević, Ljiljana Karanović (2021)We report on the crystal structures of three novel synthetic SrM-arsenates (M = Ni and Fe3+), isostructural or structurally related to the minerals from tsumcorite, carminite and brackebuschite groups. They were synthesised under mild hydrothermal conditions and further characterised using single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SXRD), scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive spectroscopy (SEMEDS) and Raman spectroscopy. SXRD and SEM-EDS yielded formulae: (I) SrNi2(AsO4)2·2H2O, (II) Sr1.4Fe3+ 1.6(AsO4)2(OH)1.6 and (III) SrFe3+(AsO4)(AsO3OH). All three structures are built up of slightly distorted MO6 octahedra ... Projected changes in air temperature, precipitation and aridity in Serbia in the 21st century
Boško Milovanović, Sebastian Schubert, Milan Radovanović, Vesna Ristić Vakanjac, Christoph Schneider (2021)In this study, the projected changes of the average monthly and annual air temperatures, precipitation amounts and De Martonne aridity index in Serbia in the 21st century are examined. For that purpose, the spatial distribution of air temperature and precipitation amount is statistically modelled using data of 64 climatologic stations and 421 precipitation stations for the period 1976–2005 using multiple linear regression. The De Martonne aridity index is calculated from the spatially distributed data. Hydrochemical indicators of groundwater flow in the area of “Čukaru Peki” Cu-Au underground mine in eastern Serbia
The physical and chemical properties of groundwater, together with the groundwater levels regime and rock hydraulic properties, are often used to understand and conceptualize the hydrogeological system. Prediction of the influence of mining works on groundwater, and vice versa, is a challenge due to significantly altered groundwater flow patterns in the raw materials exploitation areas in relation to natural conditions. Therefore, multiple parameters are assessed and monitored before and during exploitation to properly characterize and quantify the system for ...Nebojša Atanacković, Vladimir Živanović, Jana Štrbački, Veselin Dragišić, Ivana Cvejić. Geoheritage and Mining Heritage in the Promotion of Theme Parks: An Example of the National Park Đerdap (Carpathian-Balkan Thrust-And-Fold Belt, Eastern Serbia)
The National Park Đerdap (eastern Serbia, vicinity of the Danube River) occupies a segment of the Carpathian-Balkan fold-and-thrust belt and has a significant geoheritage potential, accounting for the impressive natural (geological) and cultural legacy. In addition to the extraordinary orogenic-type landscape or nappe-stacked mountainous configura tion, the region contains evidence of ancient mining activities, uncovered within its immediate neighbourhood. Testing the energy value of different types of coal by the method of active thermography
In this paper, coal thermograms are presented and analyzed in order to determine their energy value. Two types of coal of different categories, brown and lignite, were selected for active thermographic imaging. The tested coal samples were processed before measurement so that they are similar in dimensions and have two plane-parallel smooth surfaces. The test samples were "primarily" heated under the same conditions and the process of their cooling was monitored by a thermal camera. "Then" they were cooled ...Stevan Đenadić, Ljubiša Tomić, Vesna Damnjanović, Predrag Jovančić, Dragutin Jovković. Flotability of chalcopyrite from the Rudnik deposit
Negative Impact of Backwater Levels of Danube River and its Tributaries to the Groundwater Regime in Meliorated Riverside Areas
This paper describes updated calculation methodology of Danube backwater impact, occurred as a consequence of “Đerdap I” hydropower plant operation, onto the meliorated riverside areas. This methodology is based on hydrodynamic analysis of groundwater regime (size, duration, level and inflow changes) and quantification of melioration areas impairment which is caused by “Đerdap I” hydropower plant operation. By comparing the groundwater regime elements, obtained by variant hydrodynamic calculation in mathematical models for natural – not backed up and actual – ...HPP ''Djerdap 1'', backwater influence, groundwater regime, hydrodynamic analysis, melioration area, drainage system, additional energy engagementPredrag Pajić, Uroš Urošević, Dušan Polomčić, Milan Dimkić. Development of the Cost-Based Model for Monitoring the Lifetime of the Earth Moving Machines
This paper presents the model for the identification of reference points on the lifetime curve of engineering systems. This curve commonly represents the increase and decline of failure in relation to time. A direct correlation between failure rate and costs is assumed in this paper, therefore, statistical and empirical analysis of costs provided reference points. This approach is used for positioning stages of the engineering system’s lifetime with a minimal number of failures and costs, regardless of whether these ...Electrical and Electronic Engineering,Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Control and Optimization, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science (miscellaneous), Control and Systems EngineeringUgljesa Bugarić, Milos Tanasijević, Stevan Djenadić, Dragan Ignjatović, Ivan Janković. Structural and microstructural study of brookite based TiO2 nanocomposites with carbon black (C)
Structural and microstructural properties of TiO2-based nanocomposites with carbon black (C), synthesized by sol-gel-hydrothermal method, have been studied by XRPD and Raman scattering. Detailed size-strain analyses of XRPD and Raman scattering results are presented in order to investigate the influence of C content on brokite and anatase phase formation. The XRPD size-strain analyses have resulted in reliable structure and microstructure results for both anatase and brookite and their relative abundance ratio has been refined by Rietveld method. Adaptive neuro-fuzzy prediction of operation of the bucket wheel drive based on wear of cutting elements
The capacity of the rotor excavator depends largely on the operation of the subsystem for digging. There is a great contribution to the correct and sharp teeth when the capacity is the highest. To analyze the bucket wheel drive in depend on wear of the cutting elements in this study adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) approach was implemented. ANFIS ...Filip Miletić, Predrag D.
