Prognozna ocena resursa kaolinitskih glina u sedimentnim basenima Srbije
Dosadašnja istraživanja kaolinitskih glina imala su, međutim, prevashodno uzak istraživački cilj - utvrđivanje rezervi glina određenog ležišta, dok su istraživanja regionalnog karaktera bila malog obima i vezana za delove pojedinih ...prognozna ocena, resursi kaolinitskih glina, sedimentni baseni, Srbija, geologija, mineralogija, kvalitet, potencijalnostVladimir M. On the distribution modulo 1 of the sum of powers of a Salem number
Dragan Stankov (2016)It is well known that the sequence of powers of a Salem number θ, modulo 1, is dense in the unit interval, but is not uniformly distributed. Generalizing a result of Dupain, we determine, explicitly, the repartition function of the sequence , where P is a polynomial with integer coefficients and θ is quartic. Also, we consider some examples to illustrate the method of determination.Algebraic integer, the house of algebraic integer, maximal modulus, reciprocal polynomial, primitive polynomial, Schinzel-Zassenhaus conjecture, Mahler measure, method of least squares, cyclotomic polynomialsDragan Stankov. Interaction of sodium dodecylsulfate (SDS) with homoionic montmorillonites: adsorption isotherms and metal-ion release
The interaction of dodecylsulfate anions (DS−) with homoionic Ca-, Mg-, Ni-, Cu-, Cd-, Pb- and Fe-montmorillonites were investigated. Mg- and Cd-montmorillonite do not adsorb DS−, and an anion exchange at the edges of the clay mineral does not take place. Three different adsorption processes are identified on the other montmorillonites: i) Fe-montmorillonite is covered with amorphous iron hydroxide, and DS−-anions are bound at positively charged sites. ii) On Ca- and Pb-montmorillonite DS− is precipitated as Me(DS)2. iii) On Ni- ...M. Transboundary groundwater resource management: needs for monitoring the Cijevna River Basin (Montenegro–Albania)
The transboundary Cijevna River Basin shared between Albania and Montenegro has a surface area of 650 km2. It is extremely important for water management, especially in the country of Montenegro which is downstream. Due to the high permeability of both the karst and intergranular aquifers that exist in the basin, the River Cijevna sinks along the length of its riverbed and in summer months it usually dries up completely at the confluence section. Hydrometry surveys undertaken during a drought ...Upravljanje međugraničnim vodama, ranjivost podzemnih voda, monitoring mreža, karstne izdani, Albanija, Crna GoraMomčilo Blagojević, Zoran Stevanović, Milan Radulović, Veljko Marinović, Branislav Petrović. Hybrid Model for Optimisation of Waste Dump Design and Site Selection in Open Pit Mining
Aleksandar Doderovic, Svetozar-Milan Doderovic, Sasa Stepanovic, Mirjana Bankovic, Dejan Stevanovic (2023)Waste management is an unavoidable technological operation in the process of raw material extraction. The main characteristic of this technological operation is the handling of large quantities of waste material, which can amount to several hundred million cubic metres. At the same time, this operation must comply with all administrative and environmental standards. Therefore, optimising waste rock management (particularly haulage and dumping) has the potential to significantly improve the overall value of the project. This paper presents a hybrid ...Aleksandar Doderovic, Svetozar-Milan Doderovic, Sasa Stepanovic, Mirjana Bankovic, Dejan Stevanovic. Application of Peleg model on mass transfer kinetics during osmotic dehydratation of pear cubes in sucrose solution
Vesna Pavelkić, Tanja Brdarić, Marija Petrović, Gavrilo Šekularac, Milica Košević, Lato Pezo, Marija Ilić (2015)The applicability of Peleg model was investigated for predicting mass transfer kinetics during the osmotic dehydration (OD) process of pears, at different concentrations (40, 60 and 70%, w/w) and temperatures (20, 35 and 50 °C) of sucrose solution. Increase in sucrose solution concentration resulted in higher water loss (WL) and solid gain (SG) values through the osmotic treatment period. After 360 min of osmotic treatment of pears, WL ranged from 23.71 to 31.68% at 20 °C, from 24.80 to ...Vesna Pavelkić, Tanja Brdarić, Marija Petrović, Gavrilo Šekularac, Milica Košević, Lato Pezo, Marija Ilić. Determining seismic hazard in slowly deforming region: Can we gather enough information from karst caves?
Ana Mladenović, Jelena Ćalić (2021)Methods to determine seismic hazard in any region vary depending on the regional seismicity, but can be roughly grouped into two main groups: one based on probabilistic methods that use data about known seismicity in the region, and another, which is based on data related to the faulting processes and determination of seismically active faults. Both groups of methods are relatively good for seismically active regions. However, in regions of low seismic activity and slow deformations, there is neither ...Ana Mladenović, Jelena Ćalić. Integrating landslide magnitude in the susceptibility assessment of the City of Doboj, using machine learning and heuristic approach
In this work, landslide assessment of the Doboj City area was modeled by combining machine learning and heuristic tools. The machine learning part was used to map the Morphometric factor. i.e. probability of landslides based on relation between the magnitude of events and morphometric parameters: elevation, distance to streams, slope, profile curvature, and aspect. The Random Forest and Support Vector Machines algorithms were implemented in the learning protocol, which included several strategies: balancing of the training/testing set size, algorithm ...Cvjetko Sandić, Miloš Marjanović, Biljana Abolmasov, Radislav Tošić. Chemo-probe into the mantle origin of the NW Anatolia Eocene to Miocene volcanic rocks: Implications for the role of, crustal accretion, subduction, slab roll-back and slab break-off processes in genesis of post-collisional magmatism
Post-collisional Cenozoic magmatic activity in NW Anatolia produced widespread volcanism across the region. In the Biga Peninsula, in the west, medium-K calc-alkaline to ultra-K rocks with orogenic geochemical signature were emplaced at ~43–15 Ma (Biga orogenic volcanic rocks; BOVR). Volcanic activity in the Central Sakarya region, to the east, is mainly restricted to ~53–38Ma, but also continued during the Early Miocene with small basaltic extrusives (Sakarya orogenic volcanic rocks; SOVR). This study presents a new set of geochemical data ...E. Yalçın Ersoy, Martin R. Palmer, Ş. Can Genç, Dejan Prelević, Cüneyt Akal, İbrahim Uysal.
