Legal framework for recultivation of degraded areas caused by mining exploitation
Determining the Availability of Continuous Systems at Open Pits Applying Fuzzy Logic
This work presents a model for determining the availability of continuous systems at open pits by applying fuzzy logic and fuzzy inference systems. The applied model was formed by the synthesis of independent partial indicators of availability. The model is based on an expert system for assessing the availability of continuous mining systems. The availability of the system, as a complex state parameter, is decomposed into the partial indicators, reliability, and convenience of maintenance, and the fuzzy compositions, used ... Miljan Gomilanović, Miloš Tanasijević, Saša Stepanović. Identification of the Best Available Renewable Energy Source for Electricity Production in Serbia
Around 2/3 of electricity production in Serbia originates from coal-fired thermal power plants. The most significant domestic coal deposits are lignite deposits, a type of low -quality coal that causes negative health, climate and environmental impacts during the combustion. Available technological procedures for capturing CO2 in the industrial and power generation sectors
Climate change is a major environmental issue caused by anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases. Capturing CO2 and storing it in suitable geological formations is one of the main technological solutions that can provide mitigation of CO2 emission into the atmosphere. Capturing CO2 represents the first phase in process of carbon capture and storage, and includes the application of various technologies for the separation of CO2 produced in the energy and industrial sectors. There are four main systems for capturing ...... hydrogen, ethanol, chemicals, iron, steel and cement production. There are many opportunities to reduce CO2 emissions in industry sector such as using the natural gas instead of coal, increasing the energy efficiency, and CO2 separation after production using CCS which is one of the leading solutions ...
