Resource-based WordNet Augmentation and Enrichment
In this paper we present an approach to support production of synsets for SerbianWordNet(SerWN)byadjustingPrincetonWordNet(PWN)synsetsusing several bilingual English-Serbian resources. PWN synset definitions were automatically translated and post-edited, if needed, while candidate literals for Serbian synsets were obtained automatically from a list of translational equivalents compiled form bilingual resources. Preliminary results obtained from a setof1248selectedPWNsynsetsshowthattheproducedSerbiansynsetscontain 4024 literals, out of which 2278 were offered by the system we present in this paper, whereas experts added the remaining 1746. An example of karst catchment delineation for prioritizing the protection of an intact natural area
Heavy metals in lignite and soil of Kostolac-Kovin coal basin, eastern Serbia - comparative analysis with selected cities in Serbia, region, Europe and world
Bogoljub Vučković, Bojan Dimitrijević (2023)The Kostolac-Kovin coal basin with an area of 320 km2, with 5 separate layers of coal and with a total of about 5.7 Bt of geological resources and reserves represents an exceptional potential for coal production in Serbia. The coal resources listed in this way are not fully exploitable, but they represent potential for consideration. In this paper, we deal with the geochemical characteristics of coal seams and perform a comparative analysis of coal affectation on the environment. Šeklić, Snežana Sretenović, Marija Ilić, Jovana Bogojeski (2023)Cancer remains one of the world's deadliest diseases, claiming many lives each day. Transition metal complexes are leading candidates in developing anticancer agens with cisplatin used in chemotherapy worldwide. Availability as a dimension of energy security in the Republic of Serbia
Boban Pavlović, Dejan Ivezić (2016)There is a range of modern approaches and models in literature for the evaluation and determination of energy security, which are based on different parameters and indicators. For most of them, a common characteristic is emphasizing the avail ability of energy, as an important dimension for ensuring energy security. In this paper, concise overview of Serbian energy sectors is given and appropriate energy indicators are defined and determined. Selected indicators provide insight into the main components that characterize availability ...... energy prices, environmental degradation caused by energy activities, and other risks that may jeopardize general social stability and economic development. Integration of all these problems leads to an issue of energy security. For this reason, there is a tendency to formulate and develop models ...

Strategic Environmental Assessment in the Application of Preventive Protection for Wind Farm Noise—Case Study: Maestrale Ring Wind Farm
Determining the spatial position of wind turbines is the initial and most important phase in the development of a wind farm project. Underground loading-haulage equipment selection with application of topsis method with different weighting methods of criteria
The choice of adequate mining machines is one of the most complex problems in the underground exploitation of mineral raw materials. The weight of such a decision is reflected in the high prices of these machines and the occurrence of even greater costs during their use if their choice was wrongly conceived. There are numerous examples from practice in which such decisions were made solely on the basis of comparing the prices of machines, without considering any of the ...utovarno-transportna mehanizacija, izbor, TOPSIS, entropija, standardna devijacija, težina kriterijumaVladimir Krivošić, Luka Crnogorac, Rade Tokalić.
