    geochemical and mineralogical study was performed on lignite samples from the Upper Miocene Kovin deposit, hosting three coal seams. The Kovin lignite is characterized by high moisture content, medium to high ash yield, medium to high sulphur content and a relatively low gross and net calorific value.     U radu je izvršena revizija i detaljan opis srednjojurskih brahiopoda Jordanske doline, a takodje su izdvojeni i novi taksoni. Sa profila Arda iz gornjeg bata (Hamam formacija) i donjeg keloveja (Muganija formacija) odredjeni su novi rod i vrsta Jordanithyris ardainensis. Iz gornjeg bata Hamam formacije (krečnjaci, dolomiti, peščari i laporci) izdvojena je vrsta Ptyctothyris quillyensis. Zajednica koju čine Arabatia bihinensis, Ectyphoria sinaiensis, Ptyctothyris quillyensis, Dorsoplicathyris dorsoplicata i Tubithyris jurayfahiensis potiče iz donjokelovejskih krečnjaka sa proslojcima laporaca Muganija formacije. Sa profila Tel el Dahab, iz kelovejskih stena (Muganija formacija) odredjeni su novi taksoni terebratulida: Kutchithyris simoni sp. nov. i Trigonithyris wilsoni sp. nov, koji su ovom prilikom opisani.     Orange single crystals of new polymeric cobalt(II) complex {[Co(bipy)(H2O)4]2[Co(μ-mell)(H2O)2]·10H2O}n, 1, were synthesized by slow evaporation method at room temperature (bipy = 2,2′-bipyridine, mell = hexaanion of mellitic acid) and its crystal structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction.     The in vitro effect of technical grade malathion was assessed via the kinetic parameters of human plasma butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) using N-methylindoxyl acetate as a substrate for BChE. An inhibitor kinetics study demonstrated the existence of a biphasic inhibition curve, indicating high- and low-affinity binding sites of malathion.
