Palaeoflora of Kamenica (Pranjani Basin, western Serbia)
Palaeofloras of the Paleogene in Serbia are relatively rare, especially in comparison with floras from Neogene sediments. Most Paleogene phytoas sociations from the territory of Serbia existed in a dry and warm climate. The youngest Paleogene phytoassociation originates from the Pranjani Basin (Western Serbia), locality Kamenica. The age of this palaeoflora is determined as Late Oligocene. This fossil plant assemblage is different from other Paleo gene phytoassociations. The palaeoflora from Kamenica is characterized with leaf imprints larger than in other ......

Upper Miocene depositional environments of the Kikinda-Mokrin High (Serbia)
Saša Ivanišević, Dejan Radivojević (2018)Exploration for oil and gas in mature areas, such as the Pannonian Basin, can benefit from reexamination of old data using more advanced modern workflows that focus on the temporal and spatial aspects of sediment deposition. Specifically, we apply a new environment of deposition model that interprets the Upper Miocene- Pliocene sediments as being deposited in a rapidly filling basin characterized by quick shelf edge progradation from the northwest toward the southeast. Reconstruction of this shelf edge trajectory reveals ...Saša Ivanišević, Dejan Radivojević. Sexual dimorphism and left-right asymmetry of carapace ornamentation in Hemicytheria setosa RUNDIĆ 2002
In biostratigraphic research of the Upper Miocene of the Pannonian Basin System, one of the frequently detected and important ostracod genera is Hemicytheria. Among more than 20 species of this genus, Hemicytheria setosa is present in sandy facies of the Lake Pannon sediments in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The aims of this study were to describe sexual dimorphism and differences between left and right valve morphology in Hemicytheria setosa. Landmark based geometric morphometrics is applied on the grounds ...Morfologija ljušture, Ostrakode, geometrijska morfometrija, gornji miocen, južni deo Panonskog basenaVukica Vujić, Ljupko Rundić, Tamara Karan-Žnidaršič. Towards resolving Cretaceous to Miocene kinematics of the Adria-Europe contact zone in reconstructions: Inferences from a structural study in a critical Dinarides area
One key element in the current debate analysing the Central Mediterranean evolution is the Cretaceous structure and kinematics of the present-day oroclinal bent contact between Adria-and Europe-derived continental units in the Dinarides, interpreted in different tectonic reconstructions as a subduction-related thrust system or a large-scale strike-slip fault zone. We provide a solution to the debate by a structural and kinematic study in a key area located in central Serbia along the Europe–Adria orogenic suture of the Sava Zone. Rift sequence stratigraphy and its contribution to source rock understanding – Serbian part of Pannonian Basin
Filip Anđelković, Dejan Radivojević (2018)... Lower Miocene are most contributing source rocks in Croatian part of Pannonian Basin (Lučić et al., 2001). Those sediments are absent in vicinity of biggest Serbian oil fields, since the rifting of major depressions appeared later. The different timing of rifting affects the age (Lower Miocene to Pontian) ...
