- Cilj istraživanja, obrade i interpretacije rezultata prikazanih u disertaciji je utvrđivanje termičke zrelosti organske supstance i naftno-matičnog potencijala sedimentnih stena na području istočne Hercegovine, primenom metoda pirolize Rock-Eval, organo-petrografskog proučavanja organske supstance u normalnoj svetlosti i fluorescenciji, koja je pored kvalitativne analize uključila posebno i refleksiju vitrinita. Osim toga, na osnovu organsko-geohemijskih analiza sagledane su karakteristike i poreklo ekstrahovanog bitumena metodom gasne hromatografije - masene spektrometrije, pri čemu su izvršene analize biomarkera kao geohemijskih indikatora. Tokom rada na doktorskoj disertaciji, prikupljeno je ukupno oko 100 površinskih uzoraka mezozojskih i kenozojskih sedimenata na terenu istočne Hercegovine, na kojima je urađano preko 130 različitih laboratorijskih analiza. Osim navedenih terenskih i laboratorijskih proučavanja, izvršeno je i softversko modelovanje moguće konsedimentacione i geotermičke evolucije sedimenata na osnovu usaglašavanja rezultata merenja i matematičkih proračuna refleksije vitrinita (model EASY %Ro). U prvom delu disertacije dat je prikaz geološke građe, geotermičkih karakteristika i geotektonske evolucije šireg područja istočne Hercegovine, sa posebnim osvrtom na geološki razvoj spoljašnjih Dinarida (Karbonatne platforme), kao i na naftno-geološke karakteristike regiona. Rezultati svih proučavanja i izvršenih ispitivanja omogućili su definisanje nivoa maturacije, moguće termičke evolucije, vrste i porekla organske supstance u čitavoj sekvenci analiziranih sedimenata istočne Hercegovine - od trijasa do neogena, kao i identifikaciju i karakterizaciju matičnih stena, odnosno njihovog naftno-matičnog potencijala.

The main goal of the research, data processing and interpretation in the doctoral dissertation is determination of thermal maturity and petroleum-source potential of sedimentary rocks in East Herzegovina, using Rock-Eval pyrolysis, organo-petrographic examinations of organic matter in normal and fluorescent light, which included qualitative petrographic analysis and vitrinite reflectance measurements. Besides, characteristics and origin of extracted bitumen was also studied using gas chromatography - mass spectrometry, whereby analysis of biomarkers was used as geochemical indicator. During the PhD work, some 100 surface samples of Mesozoic and Cenozoic sedimentary rocks were collected in the area of East Herzegovina and during the analytical work, more than 130 analyses were performed on them. Besides field work and laboratory analyses, the
software modelling of burial and geothermal history of the sediments was also performed by fitting the results of vitrinite reflectance measurements and calculations (model EASY %Ro). In the first part of the dissertation, geological setting, geothermal characteristics and geotectonic evolution of the area is shown, with the special focus on the geological evolution of the external Dinarides (Carbonate platform) and the petroleum-geological characteristics in the region. The results of the research and all analyses have led to defining the level of maturity, thermal evolution, type and origin of organic matter in the entire sequence of the analyzed sediments of East Herzegovina - from Triassic to Neogene, as well as to the identification and characterization of source rocks and their petroleum potential. - број страница
