Ispitivanja stena kao radne sredine, odnosno materijala sa kojim se gradi, na kome se gradi i u kome se gradi, svojom složenošću zahteva njeno svestrano izučavanje po velikom broju parametara. Zadatak Mehanike stena je da što bolje upozna ponašanje stenske mase i njenu otpornost na dejstvo pritiska, zatezanja i smicanja, kao i dinamičkih svojstava. This paper presents the first data on the organic matter and thermal maturity of Mesozoic and Cenozoic sedimentary rocks in the East Herzegovina region of the External Dinarides.
