    Predmet doktorske disertacije predstavljalo je rešavanje strukturno‐stratigrafskihodnosa miocenskih sedimenata na prostoru severnog Banata. U cilju regionalnogsagledavanja, korišćeni su svi raspoloživi geofizički i geološki podaci sa širegistražnog područja, odnosno iz celog Panonskog basena i susednog orogena. Osimklasičnih metoda primenjene su i savremene metode seizmostratigrafije,tektonostratigrafije i riftne sekvencione stratigrafije.     U radu je opisano ponašanje mekih stenskih masa koje su izložene porecesu raspadanja tokom određenog vremenskog perioda. Meke stenske predstavljaju kritične vrste stenskih masa pošto izazivaju različite probleme tokom izvođenja građevinskih radova. Meke stene mogu biti sedimentne stene, raspadnute metamorfne i magmatske stene.     Disertacija se konceptualno sastoji iz dva dela kojima je obuhvaćen pasivan (prirodnoprečišćavanje) i aktivan remedijacioni pristup (stimulisana bioremedijacija) kodpodzemnih voda zagađenih naftnim ugljovodonicima.U prvom delu disertacije prikazani su rezultati osmatranja procesa prirodnogprečišćavanja u podzemnim vodama na lokaciji istorijskog zagađenja kerozinom.Tragovi zagađenja naftnim ugljovodonicima pronađeni su 20 godina nakon prosipanjakerozina.
