    U ovom radu predstavljene su osnovne geološke karakteristike šireg područja Grivske. U litostratigrafskom pogledu na ovom prostoru prisutne su paleozojske, mezozojske i kenozojske sedimentne, magmatske i metamorfne stene. Tvorevine karbona su predstavljene semimeta-morfisanim tvorevinama.Tvorevine trijaske starosti su predstavljene slojevitim i masivnim krečnjacima, dok su tvorevine jure predstavljeni produktima ofiolitskog melanža. Takođe, prisutne su i tvorevine senona koje su predstavljene masivnim krečnjacima. U neogenoj sukcesiji dominiraju klastiti miocena, dok su u kvartaru zastupljeni različiti tipovi fluvijalnih, deluvijalnih i deluvijalno-proluvijalnih tvorevina. ...
