Pleistocene rhinoceros from Bogovina Cave: the first report of Stephanorhinus hundsheimensis Toula, 1902 (Mammalia, Rhinocerotidae) from Serbia
Finds of Pleistocene rhinoceros are rare in Serbia, and only one species (the woolly rhinoceros Coelodonta antiquitatis Blumenbach, 1799) has been reported so far. The current paper presents the dental material of an extinct so-called Hundsheim rhinoceros, Stephanorhinus hundsheimensis Toula, 1902 from Bogovina Cave (East ern Serbia). Both the morphological and metric characteristics of the teeth are consis tent with the attribution to S. hundsheimensis. ‘Blue-’ and ‘Brown-speckled’ pottery from Qalhât, the Sultanate of Oman (13–16th centuries): Comparison with traditional Omani 19–20 century productions
Representative ‘Blue speckled’ (13–16th centuries) and ‘Brown speckled’ (13–21st century) wares recovered from the excavations in Qalhât or collected around Bahlâ city (Sultanate of Oman) were characterized by XRPD, SEM-EDS, Raman/optical microspectroscopy, and thermal expansion. Interpretacijom podataka zaključeno je da je na predmetnom terenu formiran "hibridni" hidrogeotermalni sistem, koji sadrži elemente sistema u rov-strukturi i elemente konvektivnog hidrogeotermalnog sistema sa rezervoarom u pokrivaču granitoidne intruzije. For clarification, we investigated a series of natural arsenopyrite crystals from the polymetallic Pb-Zn-(±Cu,Ag,Au,Sb,Bi,W) Šumadija-Kopaonik ore district (Serbia) by powder X-ray diffraction (XRPD). Palinomorfe sa lokaliteta Gostuška reka (Stara planina)
Ivan Rutović (2024)U radu su prikazani rezultati palinološkog istraživanja permsko-trijaskih sedimenata sa lokaliteta Gostuška reka. Palinološki kompleksi su detaljno analizirani, što je omogućilo morfološku, taksonomsku i paleoekološku identifikaciju palinomorfi. Istraživanje je pokazalo prisustvo velikog broja spora i polena golosemenica, dok je polen skrivenosemenica zastupljen u manjem procentu. Kurešević (2014-01-22)U sastavu Vardarske zone, jedne od tektonski najsloženijih oblasti Balkanskogpoluostrva, u čijem domenu se odvijalo otvaranje i zatvaranje okeanskih prostora isubdukcija koja je dovela do intenzivne magmatske aktivnosti pretežno tokom tercijara,danas se nalazi veći broj magmatskih kompleksa.U ovoj disertaciji su obrađene geološke karakteristike trinaest izabranih magmatskihkompleksa Vardarske zone tercijarne starosti, i laboratorijski određena mineraloškopetrografskasvojstva stena u njihovom sastavu i fizičko-mehanička svojstva kamenaznačajna za utvrđivanje mogućnosti njihove primene za dobijanje blokovaarhitektonskog građevinskog kamena iz kojih se dobijaju ploče za oblaganjegrađevinskih ......
