Ograničenja primene optimizacionih algoritama u slučaju kopova
Proces optimizacije površinskih kopova, kao sastavni deo strateškog planiranja, veoma je važan sa stanovišta ostvarivanja maksimalnih efekata proizvodnje. To je složen zadatak koji vrlo često podleže vrlo strogim geometrijskim i drugim praktičnim rudarskim ograničenjima. Definisanje optimalne završne konture površinskog kopa od suštinskog je značaja za ostvarivanje strateških ciljeva u razvoju rudarskih projekata. Velike elektrane su i u trećoj deceniji 21. veka i dalјe odgovorne za više od polovine proizvodnje električne energije u Evropi. Hidraulični bageri primenjuju se u različitim oblastima privrede a najzastupljeniji su u građevinarstvu i rudarstvu. Na površinskim kopovima sa kontinualnim sistemima, klasifikuju kao pomoćna mehanizacija a na površinskim kopovima sa diskontinualnim sistemima, kao osnovna mehanizacija.
