Upper Cretaceous scaglia type limestone from Klepa Mts. (North Macedonia) - sedimentology and biostratigraphy
The research area is located in the central part of North Macedonia, in the area of the Klepa Mts. Based on sedimentological, micropaleontological and biostratigraphical investigations of samples from both the east and west side of the Klepa Mts., sedimentary rocks of the Upper Creaceous age are determined. During the latest Cretaceous, this area was dominated by the sedimentation of dominantly carbonate rocks with variable amounts of clastic components. From the tectonic point of view, investigated area belongs to the ...Violeta Gajić, Milena Dunčić, Ana Mladenović, Dejan Prelević. "Upper Cretaceous scaglia type limestone from Klepa Mts. Waste rocks and medieval slag as sources of environmental pollution in the area of the Pb-Zn Mine Rudnik (Serbia)
Alena Zdravković, Vladica Cvetković, Kristina Šarić, Aleksandar Pačevski, Aleksandra Rosić, Suzana Erić (2020)The new geochemical and mineralogical data of soil and water from the Pb-Zn Rudnik Mine area (central Serbia) reveal that the areas close to the mining sites and those located remotely from them are both affected by significant pollution by toxic elements, especially As, Pb, Ni and Cr. We, therefore, propose that two main sources are generally responsible for the current state of pollution in this area. The first is the material from waste rock dumps (WRDs) in which ...Alena Zdravković, Vladica Cvetković, Kristina Šarić, Aleksandar Pačevski, Aleksandra Rosić, Suzana Erić. Towards resolving Cretaceous to Miocene kinematics of the Adria-Europe contact zone in reconstructions: Inferences from a structural study in a critical Dinarides area
One key element in the current debate analysing the Central Mediterranean evolution is the Cretaceous structure and kinematics of the present-day oroclinal bent contact between Adria-and Europe-derived continental units in the Dinarides, interpreted in different tectonic reconstructions as a subduction-related thrust system or a large-scale strike-slip fault zone. We provide a solution to the debate by a structural and kinematic study in a key area located in central Serbia along the Europe–Adria orogenic suture of the Sava Zone. The ...Uroš Stojadinović, Nemanja Krstekanić, Liviu Matenco, Tamara Bogdanović. Comparation of photogrammetry and terrestrial laser scanning methods for erosion monitoring in the area of Devil’s Town: project “Demonitor”
Project "Devils’ town Erosion MONITORing - DEMONITOR" involves the monitoring of accessible earth pillars in the area of Devil’s town, by using a combination of several non‐invasive methods. Terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) and photogrammetric imaging with unmanned aircraft (UAV) as a platform showed as great solutions for 3D modeling of this site and erosion monitoring. In this work it is shown that using manual free flight mode for imaging with UAV gave much better results than the missions performed ...Brodić Nenad, Samardžić-Petrović Mileva, Đurić Dragana, Martinenko Anastasija. Characterization and Environmental Evaluation of Recycled Aggregates from Construction and Demolition Waste in Belgrade City Area (Serbia)
Sustainable consumption of construction materials is an important segment of sustainable development goals towards reducing climate change. Since the consumption of natural aggregates raises environmental concerns, there is an increasing demand for use of recycled aggregates (RAs), as it enhances social and environmental benefits and creates a market opportunity. This paper presents the practice of using recycled construction and demolition waste (CDW) in the Belgrade city area (Serbia) as a resource. Two groups of CDW from Vinˇca landfill site ...građevinski otpad (CDV), reciklirani agregati, prirodni agregati, uticaj na životnu sredinu, substitucija, deponijaFilip Abramović, Miroslav Popović, Vladimir Simić, Vesna Matović, Radmila Šerović.
