A Tool for Enhanced Search of Multilingual Digital Libraries of E-journals
This paper outlines the main features of Bibliša, a tool that offers various possibilities of enhancing queries submitted to large collections of TMX documents generated from aligned parallel articles residing in multilingual digital libraries of e-journals. The queries initiated by a simple or multiword keyword, in Serbian or English, can be expanded by Bibliša, both semantically and morphologically, using different supporting monolingual and multilingual resources, such as wordnets and electronic dictionaries. The tool operates within a complex system composed ...... unnecessary slowdown caused by additional layers for interpretation. Native XML databases (abbr. Towards resolving Cretaceous to Miocene kinematics of the Adria-Europe contact zone in reconstructions: Inferences from a structural study in a critical Dinarides area
One key element in the current debate analysing the Central Mediterranean evolution is the Cretaceous structure and kinematics of the present-day oroclinal bent contact between Adria-and Europe-derived continental units in the Dinarides, interpreted in different tectonic reconstructions as a subduction-related thrust system or a large-scale strike-slip fault zone. We provide a solution to the debate by a structural and kinematic study in a key area located in central Serbia along the Europe–Adria orogenic suture of the Sava Zone. Investigating distant effects of the Moesian promontory: Brittle tectonics along the western boundary of the Getic unit (East Serbia)
In this study, we report evidence for brittle deformation in a part of the Carpatho–Balkan orogen, which is explained in terms of effects of the rigid Moesian promontory of the European plate on fault kinematics in East Serbia. We focus on the westernmost part of the Getic Unit of the East Serbian Carpatho–Balkanides, i.e. the Gornjak–Ravanica Unit, located between two main thrusts that were repeatedly activated from Early Cretaceous to recent times. We combine a new data set on ...Getikum, Mezijska jedinica, Karpato-balkanski orogen, krte deformacije, Gornjačko-ravanička jedinicaAna Mladenović, Milorad D. Integrating landslide magnitude in the susceptibility assessment of the City of Doboj, using machine learning and heuristic approach
In this work, landslide assessment of the Doboj City area was modeled by combining machine learning and heuristic tools. The machine learning part was used to map the Morphometric factor. i.e. probability of landslides based on relation between the magnitude of events and morphometric parameters: elevation, distance to streams, slope, profile curvature, and aspect. The Random Forest and Support Vector Machines algorithms were implemented in the learning protocol, which included several strategies: balancing of the training/testing set size, algorithm ...Cvjetko Sandić, Miloš Marjanović, Biljana Abolmasov, Radislav Tošić. The application of ArcGIS for assessing the potential of solar energy in urban area: The case of Vranje
In order to determine the solar energy potential for a specified location, it is crucial to consider the latitude, altitude, slope, terrain morphology, atmospheric conditions, etc. Such a complex calculation and mapping of solar energy can be done using the ArcGIS geoprocessing tool, named Area Solar Radiation (ASR). By using the ASR tool, supported with the adequate input data, it is possible to calculate the maximum solar radiation energy (irradiation) for a defined area and for a specified time ...... not the same as for the x, y coordinates. Late and post-collisional tectonic evolution of the Adria-Europe suture in the Vardar Zone
The Vardar Zone is a product of the Triassic-Jurassic opening of the Neotethys, Jurassic obduction, Late Cretaceous/Paleogene consumption of the oceanic crust and continental collision. During the last process, the Eastern Vardar Zone was thrust over the Central and eventually both onto the Western Vardar Zone. The present paleomagnetic and structural study provided new results from the first two zones in the Belgrade area. The younger set of data, together with published ones from the third zone, provide firm ...Emő Márton, Marinko Toljić, Vesna Cvetkov. The role of non-covalent intermolecular interactions on the diversity of crystal packing in supramolecular dihalopyridine–silver(i) nitrate complexes
Sunčica Roca, Lucija Hok, Robert Vianello, Mladen Borovina, Marijana Đaković, Ljiljana Karanović, Dražen Vikić-Topić, Zora Popović (2020)Six novel 1 : 2 complexes of silver(I) nitrate with 2,5-, 2,6- and 3,5-dihalopyridines (halo stands for chlorine and bromine) were prepared by the reaction of an aqueous solution of AgNO3 and the corresponding pyridine derivative in a water–alcohol solution. In spite of having analogous empirical formulae, they reveal intriguing structural differences, except [Ag(NO3)(2,5-Cl2py)2]n (1) and [Ag(NO3)(2,5-Br2py)2]n (4), which are isostructural. In contrast, [Ag(NO3)(3,5-Cl2py)2]2 (3) is dimeric, while its Br analogue [Ag(NO3)(3,5-Br2py)2]n (6) is polymeric in nature, being the ...Sunčica Roca, Lucija Hok, Robert Vianello, Mladen Borovina, Marijana Đaković, Ljiljana Karanović, Dražen Vikić-Topić, Zora Popović. U-Pb zircon geochronology of the Paleogene – Neogene volcanism in the NW Anatolia: Its implications for the Late Mesozoic-Cenozoic geodynamic evolution of the Aegean
E. Yalçın Ersoy, Cüneyt Akal, Ş. Can Genç, Osman Candan, Martin R. Palmer, Dejan Prelević, İbrahim Uysal, Regina Mertz-Kraus (2017)The northern Aegean region was shaped by subduction, obduction, collision, and post-collisional extension processes. Two areas in this region, the Rhodope-Thrace-Biga Peninsula to the west and Armutlu-Almacık-Nallıhan (the Central Sakarya) to the east, are characterized by extensive Eocene to Miocene post-collisional magmatic associations. We suggest that comparison of the Cenozoic magmatic events of these two regions may provide insights into the Late Mesozoic to Cenozoic tectonic evolution of the Aegean.
