Mining and Metallurgical Waste as Potential Secondary Sources of Metals—A Case Study for the West Balkan Region
Циљ овог рада је да прикаже хемијски састав и количине рударског отпада из прераде минералних сировина настале кроз историју рударства и прераде. Након детаљне инспекције је утврђено да је око 2,6 гигатона отпада депоновано на 1650 локација, а простире се на скоро 65 км2. Више од половине овог материјала, 55%, окарактерисано је као конвенционални отпад из рударства, 37% су депоније из прераде, а 8% је металуршки отпад.
