Effect of Properties of Working Fluids on the Efficiency of a Low-Temperature Organic Rankine Cycle
Decarbonization of all segments of energy systems, both on the supply and demand side, is one of the main goals of the energy transition. Electricity supply in the future will largely rely on generation from intermittent energy sources: wind and solar. Locally available, non-utilized alternative low-temperature energy sources as hydro-geothermal wells, and abounded oil and gas wells, have the potential to provide continual energy production over the year. Electricity generation from these energy sources is carried out with working ...Marija Živković, Aleksandar Mijatović, Dejan Ivezić, Boban Pavlović. Long-term planning methodology for improving wood biomass utilization
The insufficiently developed forest management system is often followed by undeveloped forest resources supply chain and insufficient institutional support. These cause inefficient usage of fuel-wood as well as huge amounts of unused forest residues. In order to achieve optimal and long-term sustainable utilisation of biomass, an original methodology based on the interaction of mathematical optimization and backcasting approach has been developed. Mathematical optimization is used for both generation and consideration of techno-economic parameters of the forest biomass supply chain. ...Vladimir Vukašinović, Dušan Gordić, Marija Živković, Davor Koncalović, Dubravka Živković. Fuzzy Model for Risk Assessment of Machinery Failures
The main goal of this research was the development of an algorithm for the implementation of negative risk parameters in a synthesis model for a risk level assessment for a specific machine used in the mining industry. Fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic theory, in combination with statistical methods, were applied to analyze the time picture state of the observed machine. Fuzzy logic is presented through fuzzy proposition and a fuzzy composition module. Using these tools, the symmetric position of the ...... any engineering system. Identification of the Best Available Renewable Energy Source for Electricity Production in Serbia
Around 2/3 of electricity production in Serbia originates from coal-fired thermal power plants. The most significant domestic coal deposits are lignite deposits, a type of low -quality coal that causes negative health, climate and environmental impacts during the combustion.
