Fault type assessment based on vertical gravity gradient anomalies – advantages and limitations
The type of dip-slip faults can be assessed based on the analysis of vertical gravity gradients. Theoretically, just a simple comparation of the gradient extreme values can give us an answer whether the fault is normal or reverse (thrust). Practical application of this method is far more complicated and the results depend on a number of parameters, such as a complexity of geological setting, the quality of gravity data, dip angle and displacement of the fault, density contrast, etc. ...... slip fault's type and characteristics based on the vertical gravity gradients analysis has both advantages . and limitations.. The main advantage is in the simplicity of application. The basic visual and numerical analysis of the curves can produce the information on the 88 fault type, approximate ...

Analysis of the Influence of Burden Deviation from the Designed One on the Intensity of the Blast Vibration
Stefan Milanović, Lazar Kričak, Milanka Negovanović, Nikola Simić, Jovan Marković, Nikola Đokić (2023)This paper presents an analysis of the influence of burden deviation from the designed one on the intensity of blasting vibrations through the use of laboratory and field examinations. By definition, the burden represents the shortest distance from the axis of an explosive column charge to the free surface. It should be measured along the entire hole length, although, in practice, it is often measured only on the bench surface as the shortest distance from the axis of the ...Stefan Milanović, Lazar Kričak, Milanka Negovanović, Nikola Simić, Jovan Marković, Nikola Đokić. A Knowledge-Based Approach to Mine Ventilation Planning in Yugoslav Mining Practice
Ventilation system analysis is a complex process based on the calculation and analysis of numerous parameters. These problems can be successfully solved by the SimVent numerical package, but a full understanding and use of the obtained results require the involvement of an experienced specialist in the ventilation field. The solution was found in the creation of a hybrid system INVENTS, whose knowledge base represents a formalization of the expert knowledge in the mine ventilation field. In this paper, we ...... for the analysis of air flow and pressure distribution in the ventilation network, (ii) a block for the analysis of climate conditions in mine workings, (iii) a block for temperature and heat depression analysis in fire incidence condi- tions, and (iv) a block for gas distribution analysis in the ...

Properties of fly ash and slag from the power plants
This paper describes the physical, chemical and mineral properties of ash and slag, which were taken from thermal power plants Nikola Tesla A, Nikola Tesla B, Kostolac A and Kostolac B. Correlation of uniaxial compressive strength with the dynamic elastic modulus, p –wave velocity and s –wave velocity of different rock types
Knowing mechanical properties of rocks incorporated with ultrasonic waves velocities investigations provide a secure basis for mine modelling. Uniaxial compressive strength, dynamic elastic modulus and ultrasonic waves velocities are just some of the rock properties that indicate on presence of discontinuities, stratification and fissures of rocks. Determining the relationship of these rock properties testing the rock samples that are corresponding to different rock types extracted from different mineral deposits represents the core of this study. Hydrodynamic analysis application of contaminated groundwater remediation to oil hydrocarbons
Primenjena hidrodinamička analiza predstavlja pravilan, a sve češće i neophodan pristup u savremenoj hidrogeologiji. Prethodnim hemijskim analizama uzoraka tla i podzemnih voda na istražno-osmatračkim objektima detektovano je zagađenje produktima nafte. Novoizvedena istraživanja obuhvatila su izvođenje 12 pijezometara različitih dubina, geoelektrično sondiranje tla, ,,in situ” merenja prisutnog kontaminanta, izdvojenog kao hidrofobna faza LNAPL, ...Predrag Pajić, Aleksandar Čalenić, Dušan Polomčić, Dragoljub Bajić.
