A new species and genus of Lower Jurassic rhynchonellide (Brachiopoda) from Livari (Rumija Mountain, Montenegro): taxonomic implications of the shell microstructure
A new rhynchonellide brachiopod genus and species, Skadarirhynchia semicostata gen. et sp. nov., is described from the late Pliensbachian of Livari, Rumija Mountain, southeastern Montenegro. It occurs in shallow-water brachiopod-crinoid packstone beds (bioclastic limestones) of the periplatform facies of the Dinaric Carbonate Platform. Stratigraphy is constrained by means of 87Sr/86Sr dating indicating a late Pliensbachian age, and by the fact that the brachiopod beds lie immediately below the Toarcian marly limestones, which is consistent with the regional stratigraphical position. ...Barbara V. Two approaches to compilation of bilingual multi-word terminology lists from lexical resources
In this paper, we present two approaches and the implemented system for bilingual terminology extraction that rely on an aligned bilingual domain corpus, a terminology extractor for a target language, and a tool for chunk alignment. The two approaches differ in the way terminology for the source language is obtained: the first relies on an existing domain terminology lexicon, while the second one uses a term extraction tool. For both approaches, four experiments were performed with two parameters being ...... the number of acceptable pairs raises significantly (column LIS-corp vs. column LIS-corp+). We observe that when LIS-dict is used for extraction, the ratio of pairs already present in the dictionary (LIS-dict) and all positively evaluated pairs (LIS-dict+LIS) is rather stable, ranging from 44.40% for the ...

Mitigating hydrate formation in onshore gas wells: A case study on optimization techniques and prevention
Gas wells, particularly those situated onshore, play a vital role in the global energy sector by supplying a significant portion of natural gas. However, operational challenges, notably gas hydrate formation, pose substantial issues, leading to complications such as flowline blockages and unexpected well shutdowns. Influence of mono- and two-component organic modifiers on determination of lipophilicity of tetradentate Schiff bases
Analysis Of the Process Of Carbon Capture Utilization And Storage In Underground Reservoirs
John Nyame (2024)The importance of mitigating the effects of global climate change has necessitated an in-depth exploration of innovative strategies to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Among these strategies, Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) has emerged as a promising and transformative solution. Using English Baits to Catch Serbian Multi-Word Terminology
In this paper we present the first results in bilingual terminology extraction. The hypothesis of our approach is that if for a source language domain terminology exists as well as a domain aligned corpus for a source and a target language, then it is possible to extract the terminology for a target language. Our approach relies on several resources and tools: aligned domain texts, domain terminology for a source language, a terminology extractor for a target language, and a ...aligned texts, word alignment, terminology extraction, electronic dictionaries, morphological inflectionCvetana Krstev, Branislava Šandrih, Ranka Stanković. BERT Downstream Task Analysis: Named Entity Recognition in Serbian
This paper compares different architectures and techniques for preparing named entity recognition (NER) models for the Serbian language via integrating BERT with spaCy. Models were trained to recognize seven different named entity types (persons, locations, organisations, professions, events, demonyms, and artworks), and are trained on the dataset containing Serbian novels published between 1840 and 1920, publicly available newspaper articles and sentences generated from the Wikidata knowledge base and Leximirka lexical database. We explore various configurations and several training pipelines ...... sentences that did not contain named entities.
