Fosfolipaza pankreasa A2 (PLA2) igra važnu ulogu u ćelijskoj homeostazi kao iu procesu karcinogeneze. Efekti metalo-lekova koji se koriste kao hemoterapeutici na aktivnost ovog enzima nisu poznati. U ovom radu, interakcija između PLA2 svinjskog pankreasa i dva odabrana kompleksa prelaznih metala — tetrahloro(bipiridin) platine(IV) ([PtCl4(bipi)]) i dihloro (bipiridin) rutenijum(III)hlorida ([RuCl2(bipi)2) ]Cl)—proučavana je.
