Defining structural correlation using of total horizontal gradient
Gravity data can help to define the structural correlation along significant vertical shifts. The different procedures of mathematical transformations on gravity data are applied to define structural correlations. The paper presents the results obtained using the procedure total horizontal gradient on gravity data. The application of the total horizontal gradient helped to detect contacts with a large dip angle (vertical or subvertical contacts), which can be interpreted as faults. The study area located in the wider area of the ...Snežana Ignjatović, Ivana Vasiljević, Milanka Negovanović. Analysis and visualization of geophysical well-logging data from closely spaced boreholes
Geophysical logging measurements for determining the condition of the rock mass on the dam profile and locating the predisposed directions of water circulation and loss from the reservoir were conducted in four boreholes distributed at a close distance. The survey was carried out in a typical karst terrain, which is an additional challenge for defining the geological model, especially in terms of water retention. That kind of data set provides an excellent opportunity for a new approach to analysis ...Branislav Sretković, Ivana Vasiljević, Dimitry Sidorov - Biryukov. Using gravity data to define structural correlation affecting the formation of Neogene basins
A gravity survey can help to define the structural correlation in the study area. The structures that have influenced the development of Neogene basins can be defined using gravity data. By applying mathematical transformations to gravity data, the geological structures (faults, nappes, etc.) that impacted the formation of Neogene basins can be defined. We have taken the part of the Dinarides as the test region. The paper presents the results obtained using the procedure residual, vertical gradient, and total ...Snežana Ignjatović, Ivana Vasiljević, Branisav Sretković, Milanka Negovanović. Correlation of uniaxial compressive strength with the dynamic elastic modulus, p –wave velocity and s –wave velocity of different rock types
Knowing mechanical properties of rocks incorporated with ultrasonic waves velocities investigations provide a secure basis for mine modelling. Uniaxial compressive strength, dynamic elastic modulus and ultrasonic waves velocities are just some of the rock properties that indicate on presence of discontinuities, stratification and fissures of rocks. Determining the relationship of these rock properties testing the rock samples that are corresponding to different rock types extracted from different mineral deposits represents the core of this study. In this paper, we ...Jelena Majstorović, Miloš Gligorić, Suzana Lutovac, Milanka Negovanović, Luka Crnogorac. Determining the groundwater movement velocity using cross-correlation analysis: Velika Morava alluvium case study
Milan Kresojević, Vesna Ristić Vakanjac, Dušan Polomčić, Boris Vakanjac, Dragan Trifković, Jugoslav Nikolić (2024)Monitoring of water levels and flow rates of the Velika Morava River, due to its significance for the Republic of Serbia, was established over 100 years ago at the profiles of Ljubičevski Most and Ćuprija. This was followed a year later by the activation of the Varvarin monitoring station, then in 1935 by the Žabarski Most, and in 1952 by the Bagrdan station. Correlation Between Dynamic CBR and Compaction and Bearing Capacity of Pavement Foundation Layers
This paper presents a dynamic California Bearing Ratio (CBRd) device that can be used on a prepared pavement foundation layer to obtain a certain parameter of the tested material in the laboratory and in situ in a direct and fast way. For the selected natural material (gravel), it is shown that the laboratory CBRd can be used to estimate the compaction and bearing capacity, because it correlates well with the parameters of the standard and modifed Proctor compaction tests. ...korelacija parametara, donji slojevi saobraćajnica, laboratorijska i terenska ispitivanja, dinamički kalifornijski indeks nosivosti CBRdMilan Bogdanović, Snežana Bogdanović, Dragoslav Rakić, Irena Basarić Ikodinović.
