Analysis and visualization of geophysical well-logging data from closely spaced boreholes
Geophysical logging measurements for determining the condition of the rock mass on the dam profile and locating the predisposed directions of water circulation and loss from the reservoir were conducted in four boreholes distributed at a close distance. The survey was carried out in a typical karst terrain, which is an additional challenge for defining the geological model, especially in terms of water retention. That kind of data set provides an excellent opportunity for a new approach to analysis ...... ion of geophysical well-logging data from closely spaced boreholes Branislav Sretković, Ivana Vasiljević, Dimitry Sidorov - Biryukov Дигитални репозиторијум Рударско-геолошког факултета Универзитета у Београду [ДР РГФ] Analysis and visualization of geophysical well-logging data from closely spaced ...

Application of Gel for Water Shutoff: A Case Study of Kelebija Oil Field
This paper focuses on the results of water shutoff operations using DSGA polymer gel in the Kelebija oil field. The methodology of candidate wells selection and the manner of performing the operation will also be included. The Kelebija oil field is characterized by a complex reservoir system with heterogeneous layers of different permeability and dual porosity, which led to the early breakthrough of water. For the last 25 years, average water cut was above 90%.
One of the specificities of reservoirs forming in highly karstified terrains is reflected in the wide range of unknowns, specifically during reservoir formation, filling and operation. Unfortunately, despite complex research, many reservoirs constructed in karst terrains have problems with water losses from the reservoir to other aquifers due to ponor and ponor zones which are a common in the karst of Eastern Herzegovina. One of such zones is Šuković ponor located in the southern part of the Cerničko polje ... Density maps from gravity inversion as a tool for the basin basement analysis and imaging
Ivana Vasiljević (2023)Previously devised method for density mapping of the Cenozoic basin’s basement is further developed in order to improve the visualization and geological interpretation of the results. The method combines gravity-density inversion with forward modeling and requires gravity anomaly and depth-to-basement data. Although it was primarily designed for application in well-researched basins, such as Pannonian basin, method does not require further constrains. An information on density distribution in the Cenozoic sediments (from density logging or core density measurements) is important ...Ivana Vasiljević. Simple 2D gravity–density inversion for the modeling of the basin basement: example from the Banat area, Serbia
We have developed a technique to calculate lateral density distribution of the sedimentary basin basement by combining linear gravity–density inversion and 2D forward modeling. The procedure requires gravity anomaly data, depth-to-basement data and density data for the sediments (density–depth distribution). Gravity efect of density variations in the basement was extracted from the total gravity anomaly by removing the joint efect of the sediments with vertical density variations and homogeneous basement of average density contrast (calculated by 2D modeling). Gravity ...Ivana Vasiljević, Snežana Ignjatović, Dragana Đurić. Improving Document Retrieval in Large Domain Specific Textual Databases Using Lexical Resources
Large collections of textual documents represent an example of big data that requires the solution of three basic problems: the representation of documents, the representation of information needs and the matching of the two representations. This paper outlines the introduction of document indexing as a possible solution to document representation. Documents within a large textual database developed for geological projects in the Republic of Serbia for many years were indexed using methods developed within digital humanities: bag-of-words and named ...... a search, such as the acronym of company “NIS”.
